The provincial government says work is underway to improve road conditions in the region.
The Liberals say more than 20 kilometeres of provinicial highway from Thunder Bay towards the Pigeon River border crossing is being re-paved, with more work slated for 16 kilomteres of highway in the Atikokan area.
The work costs a combined $16.9-million, and construction is expected to wrap up in 2015.
