The University of Toronto is conducting a study into the health of new mothers after their first pregnancy.
Rosemary Scofich of the District Health Unit is helping to recruit local moms for the study, which will attempt to find new ways to keep mothers healthy between babies.
They want to see if the mothers who get the attention from health care workers are better off health-wise compared to those who don’t.
The public health nurse tell us they’ve already found about a dozen moms to take part, and they’re looking for another 30 or so.
If you or someone you know might want to take part, you can contact Rosemary by calling 625-8825 or emailing rosemary.scofich@tbdhu.com.
