Provincial environment officials and the city will soon be discussing the future of the city’s corrosion control plan.
Back in January the city started adding a chemical to the water in selected homes in Current River with an aim of seeing if they reduced lead levels.
Dave Manol of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change says the ministry has been provided those test results and is reviewing the data.
The ministry will discuss those results with the city in a teleconference July 26th at which time, the ministry will tell the city whether it should proceed with full implementation of its plan.
