City Council is getting 200-thousand dollars in one time funding from the province to create a community paramedic program.
The money will fund two temporary full time positions that will research how paramedics can provide more health care in the community.
The province announced the CPP program earlier in the year which will see local paramedics become more of a support service for seniors and those who have barriers accessing health care. (File photo)
