Sheldon Wabason could get a new trial after winning his appeal in court.
In 2016, he was sentenced to ten years in jail for the 2011 manslaughter death of 54 year old Robert Topping.
Court documents explain that the judge wasn’t sure Wabason’s confession was voluntarily made since police told him he was going to take the fall for a first degree murder he had not committed.
Wabason’s convictions are being set aside, he has already served around two years of his original sentence.
