The provincial government is being accused of being slow to react to the opioid crisis.
Conservative critic Jeff Yurek says the latest statistics show a significant increase in the number of opioid-related deaths in Ontario.
“This morning the government tried to bury the new opioid statistics in a news release. It shows a 52 percent increase in opioid related deaths and a 70 percent increase in ER visits from opioids year over year.”
The provincial government has announced that it will be making Naloxone kits available free of charge at participating pharmacies for anyone needing them.
