Patrick Sharp is opening up about his decision to retire from the NHL.
Sharp says it’s time to move on to other things.
“I’m very and lucky and fortunate to be a part of a great organization in Chicago and play on some pretty good teams and have some experiences not every player gets to have,” Sharp points out. “I know it’s time to walk away,”
“There’s brighter days ahead and I walk away with my health,”
Sharp was originally drafted to the Philadelphia Flyers in 2001, spent 11 seasons with the Chicago Blackhawks, and one season with the Dallas Stars.
He announced he would be retiring from hockey last spring. (File Photo)
