It’s day four of the strike by support workers at the Port Arthur Health Centre.
Unifor members held a rally during the noon hour outside the clinic on River Street.
Union spokesperson Kari Jefford is critical of officials at the clinic who are not allowing patients to cancel their medical appointments during the walkout.
Jefford tells us she’s heard some have been told they would have to pay $100 for a missed appointment.
The clinic appears to be operating with replacement workers who Jefford claims are the doctors partners, wives, and children.
Attempts to speak to management at the Health Centre were not successful.
