The West Nile virus remains on the radar of the Thunder Bay District Health Unit.
A spokesperson says they’re now evaluating test results from the mosquitoes they have trapped so far.
Dr. Ken Deacon says the early news looks promising.
“There’s really no indication that there’s any risk of West Nile.”
Thunder Bay has had a case of the disease but Deacon says the chance of getting it is like being struck by lightning.
In southern Ontario meantime, West Nile is more of a concern.
