Spring Bear Hunt Extension Proposed

The provincial government is proposing the extension of the spring bear hunt for another five years.

It's meant to help reduce the amount of nuisance bear issues in the North.

Minister of Natural Resources Bill Mauro understands that not all people are in favour of the hunt but knows it's the right move for Northwestern Ontario.

If approved, the hunt  would include all 88 wildlife management units and would be open to non residents.
