A recreational vehicle has been destroyed as a result of a fire in the Township of Shuniah.
Fire officials tell us they were called to a Lakeshore Drive residence around 7:30 last night.
The RV was fully involved and they reported a venting propane tank in close proximity to a detached garage.
Crews managed to keep the blaze from spreading to the structure.
The fire was out in about 45 minutes.
While the cause has not been determined the Shuniah Fire Service is recommending RV owners have their electrical and propane systems inspected regularly to prevent fires.
