If you were to go through the drawers around the house, check the garage and the vehicles, how much Canadian Tire money do you think you’d find? 50 cents? Maybe a few dollars? Likely.
Well, how long do you think it would take to collect enough CT money to buy a canoe?
The answer is about 3 years.
In a truly Canadian move, Saskatoon’s Tomas Terfloth recently purchased a canoe for $777 at his local Canadian Tire store using strictly Canadian Tire money!
This adventure started out as a joke on social media 3 years ago but Tomas quickly had friends and even strangers sending him their CT money!
He celebrated his 40th birthday on June 9th and as a gift his friends handed over $500 worth of CT money which put him quickly up to the total he needed to buy his new canoe.
Tomas said this is likely the most Canadian thing he’s ever done!
I had a friend years ago who had the same idea, she used all Canadian Tire money to buy a bike, but that was only about $200!
So how much CT money do you think you’ve got at this moment?
