There is a call for more organ donors from the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.
Spokesperson Kiley Perrier explains they would like to build on the donations from last year when six organ donors from the region helped to save 26 lives.
Of that number 11 kidneys were transplanted along with three lungs, six livers, five pancreases, and one heart.
The hospital official says there are 1,600 people in Ontario on a waiting list with most of them hoping for a kidney.
