Thunder Bay’s Women’s History Month online exhibit has some new inductees.
Each October the city inducts new members to coincide with Women’s History Month.
The exhibit recognizes and celebrates women of all ages who played important roles in the history and development of the city.
“This web exhibit is a wonderful way to honour and highlight the remarkable women that have helped shape our city,” says City Archivist, Christina Wakefield. “Each year we look forward to discovering more about the women from our community and celebrating their accomplishments.”
This year’s inductees are:
- Dorothy Mary Pickup
- Mildred Jane Foster
- Jean Morrison
- Lynda McKeown
