Five people are in custody following a drug trafficking investigation in Thunder Bay.
City police and the provincial police executed a search warrant at a home on Picton Avenue on Thursday.
During the search, five people were arrested, one of which attempted to escape out a window.
Officers seized quantities of suspected crack cocaine, fentanyl, and hydromorphone, along with cash and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.
As a result, a 17-year-old, 19-year-old and 20-year-old from Scarborough, and a 35-year-old and 43-year-old from Thunder Bay are facing the following charges:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine, fentanyl, hydromorphone)
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
The 19-year-old from Scarborough was also charged with resisting arrest while the youth was charged with obstructing police.
The accused appeared in court on Friday and remain in custody with future court dates.
