A new deal has been struck between the City of Thunder Bay and the union representing transit workers in the city.
On Monday night members of the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 966 voted 70 percent in favour of the new contract.
They’ve been without one since the previous contract expired at the end of June last year.
It comes after months of talks and two days of conciliation.
However, details of the Settlement of Agreement are being kept behind closed doors until it goes before city council in early April for ratification.
In late December the union voted 99 percent in favour of strike action should a deal be unable to be reached.
Approximately 165 transit maintenance and operators are impacted by the deal.
