The union which represents workers at Ontario Northland could be on strike as of Tuesday morning.
Members of Unifor Local 103 have voted 96.3% in favour of strike action with their employer.
The strike would impact mechanics in Sault Ste. Marie, Timmins and Thunder Bay.
But even with mere days before pickets go up, President Jeremy Rodgers believes things will work out.
“I am optimistic we will reach a fair deal with the ONTC however, in the event of a labor dispute I do not see it having an impact in the Community for those riding the bus.”
Last minute negotiations are set to take place over the weekend.
Rodgers says the union which represents bus drivers are set to begin bargaining later this year.
