Ontario Provincial Police say they have arrested seven people as part of an area initiative to reduce the number of individuals wanted on outstanding warrants.
The campaign was done in partnership with the Treaty Three Police Service and wrapped on December 5th.
Arrest warrants were in connection to charges connected to violent offences, as well as drug, property and bail violations.
Of the seven arrested, one is being held in custody for bail.
The OPP states its goal is “to ensure the continued safety and security of the citizens, of not only North West Region, but Ontario, this local initiative directly correlates with the OPP’s vision of Safe Communities…A Secure Ontario.
