Thunder Bay Police Services Board (TBPSB) has appointed another member to its Governance Committee.
Donna Bain Smith is President of Bain Smith Consulting, where for nearly 30 years has been providing financial advisory services to municipalities, First Nations, First Nation organizations, law firms and small businesses, and has assisted clients with strategic planning, governance structure and policy development according to a statement from the TBPSB.
The Governance Committee includes members of the Board and members from the community, including David Paul Achneepineskum and Coralee McGuire-Cyrette.
The role of the Committee is to ensure that the critical decisions being made are being represented and informed by the community’s voice.
Smith will serve a four-year term, effective March 21, 2023, and replaces Denise Baxter as a community representative.
