More than three hundred thousand Teslas are being recalled across Canada and the US for bad behaviour while in autopilot mode.
Regulators say that 20 thousand Teslas in Canada, while in “full self-driving” mode, can deviate from appropriate behaviour while at intersections as well as it might not always follow speed limits.
Reports indicate that the vehicle might not respond to posted speed limit changes, or even account for the driver making adjustments.
This is all part of a larger investigation being conducted by the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) around Tesla’s automated driving systems.
A total of 20,667 vehicles in Canada will receive an over-air-update from Tesla, along with an email about the recall.
