A huge cash donation is going to Ukraine to help in its efforts of fending off the invading Russia.
Norway, an oil-rich country, announced it would be donating $7.4B over five years as part of a support package.
The cash will be split between military and humanitarian assistance, with Kyiv getting approximately $1.5B each year.
A donation of this size would normally affect a country’s economy, however, the cash is all from oil income.
Norway’s oil industry has benefitted from the troubles between Ukraine and Russia, as countries that have previously relied on Russian oil switched to getting their fossil fuels from the Scandinavian country.
