Three men have been arrested and a quantity of cocaine along with more than $6000 cash and drug trafficking paraphernalia have been seized by Thunder Bay Police as part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking within the city.
On Wednesday officers executed a warrant at a Merrill Street residence shortly before 5:30 p.m. and took three people into custody including one who, unsuccessfully, attempted to flee.
Police followed up with another warrant at a Cornwall Avenue address, as well as at an undisclosed location involving a pickup truck connected to the investigation.
A 62-year-old Thunder Bay male and a 31-year-old Toronto man have been charged with:
• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000Additionally a 29-year-old Thunder Bay man faces:
• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 • Resist Peace OfficerAll three appeared in court today and were remanded into custody with future appearance dates.
