On Saturday night, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inducted its 2022 class which included the country icon, Dolly Parton! Pink had the honor of inducting Dolly calling it, “one of the most magical nights I’ve witnessed in the history of me being in music.” She walked the audience through Dolly’s groundbreaking career, especially as it pertains to being a woman in entertainment. Pink called Dolly, “one of the greatest storytellers of our time… of all time.” Dolly came on the stage and rocked out!! She strapped on an electric guitar to debut a new song she’d written for the occasion, titled “Rockin’,” which she performed backed by the Zac Brown Band.
Dolly rocked the house with a host of friends and closed the night leading an all-star jam with her fellow inductees on her country classic “Jolene.”
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s Class of 2022 included Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo, Duran Duran, Eminem, Lionel Richie Carly Simon, and Eurythmics. The Musical Excellence Award went to Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, and Judas Priest. The show will air on Nov. 19 on HBO.
