OPP have laid drug trafficking charges following an investigation in Atikokan which lead to the execution of a search warrant at a residence on September 26th.
Two Atikokan residents, aged 37 and 40 years of age, and a 19 year old Toronto resident have each been charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Opioid – contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code
Two of the accused appeared in bail court on Wednesday. The third was released by way of a Form 10 release document and is scheduled to appear in front of the Ontario Court of Justice – Atikokan on November 16th.
