If you’re finding it tough to get children’s Tylenol and Advil over the counter, you aren’t the only one.
Both the liquid and chewable forms are in short supply across the province.
Some pharmacies in northwestern Ontario were getting larger bottles and asking patients to get a prescription so they can ration what was going out to the public.
Acadia News reached out to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre to ask if they are also experiencing reduced supply;
“Currently, our supply of children’s Tylenol and Advil is sufficient. However, we are enacting conservation methods and reviewing alternatives to minimize the impact of any potential shortages. We receive guidance and timely updates from our provincial pharmacy leadership group, including information from vendors and Health Canada, which allows our Hospital to stay well-informed on current supply trends and pivot our operations to meet any care needs.”
It is expected that retail supply should come back sometime in the fall.
