Max Rydholm and Matthew Foulds will represent Thunder Bay at the 2022 Ontario Summer Games.
Rydholm, who also coaches with the Thunder Bay Lakers, will serve as an assistant coach for the Northern Ontario baseball team.
“As someone who went through the process as a player in the 2012 season, it is completely surreal to be a part of this from a new perspective. I truly believe the players of Team North will have an experience of a lifetime,” added Rydholm.
Foulds will be on the diamond as he was selected during the identification camp last weekend in Sault Ste. Marie.
“I am so happy I made Team North! This will be a totally different experience for me,” Foulds stated. “I am nervous and excited about the Summer Games. I am really looking forward to working with my new teammates. I am going to work hard and do the best I can.”
Players will take part in training camp the week of July 18 in Sudbury.
The games begin in Mississauga on Thursday, July 21.
