A Thunder Bay man has been arrested after a cyber crime investigation.
The Thunder Bay Police Service’s Cyber Crime Unit began looking into a local internet user suspected of exchanging child exploitation files. This led to them identifying a suspect.
On Wednesday a search of a home on Red River Road resulted in officers taking multiple electronic devices. Police are saying that the devices had material consistent with child pornography.
The accused was then arrested and taken to police headquarters.
Cameron Ely KIVARI, 50, of Thunder Bay, is charged with:
• Possession of Child Pornography He appeared in bail court on Thursday and was released with conditions and a future appearance date.
