Joshua Taylor is looking to be elected as the Member of Parliament for Thunder Bay-Superior North.
The last time a Conservative represented the riding was in Ottawa was Joe Comuzzi in 2007-2008, who was originally elected as a Liberal in 1988 under the former riding name of Thunder Bay-Nipigon.
“Canadians generally do not want a federal election, what they want is to just be able to get through the pandemic,” Taylor told Acadia News. “Justin Trudeau has the ability to manufacture an election and if he chooses to do so, we’re ready as a Conservative party to take him on.”

Taylor grew up in Geraldton and currently works with the Thunder Bay District Health Unit as a Youth Engagement Facilitator in the Tobacco Control Department.
Taylor feels his party will be fully behind him as a first time candidate.
“They’re willing to help me establish connections that I need to,” added Taylor. “They also send me in the right direction in terms of fundraising and making sure that I understand policy and that I’m always up to date with everything that I should be saying and what our leader Erin O’Toole is talking about.”
The other candidates include incumbent and Minister of Health Patty Hajdu, Chantelle Bryson for the NDP and Amanda Moddejonge for the Green Party.
