After the better part of a decade, Josh Gribben still finds the job as President of the Lakehead Junior Hockey League satisfying.
The former hockey player himself is set for another season at the helm of the Junior ‘B’ hockey league and remembers making his case six years ago to the executives of the league.
“I came in with seven to eight bullet points of what we could do to make the league better and they were fully on board with some of the ideas that I had, whether it was the logo redesign, name change, Twitter handle and Facebook page…just some things that I felt could take the league into a new direction.”

In his conversation with Acadia News, Gribben says there’s one thing that is an ongoing learning experience for him as the boss.
“Most people are involved because they enjoy the game,” adds Gribben, “In turn it can make things pretty challenging from a leadership standpoint in managing those strong personalities who are super engaged in what they’re doing.”
The four teams plan to begin training camps in September and the regular season in October.
