Canada’s Health Minister and Ontario’s Premier are in a conflict over when COVID-19 vaccines will be rolled out in our country.
In speaking with Acadia Broadcasting’s John Ongaro, Patty Hajdu shot back at Doug Ford who has expressed frustration with the Trudeau government’s lack of concrete answers about the availability of any vaccine.
“Premier Ford should talk to his command table and the officials that have been working on the plan since May. So that is probably a reflection of maybe that he doesn’t know the details but the details are being worked out,” the health minister insisted.
However, the Thunder Bay Liberal MP did not provide an answer as to when Canadians will start getting vaccinated but strongly suggested it is because the government is being careful and not interfering with the independent regulators.
Hajdu declaring “I’d rather have scientists actually be approving things we’re going to eventually take whether it be drugs or vaccines…it’s really important we protect that.”
The Thunder Bay Liberal MP noted 16,000,000 people in the country got their flu shots recently, so Canada is a leader when it comes to immunizations.
