Comedian Archie Campbell died this week in 1987.
He had some success as a singer in the 1960s and worked on the Grand Ole Opry.
He was head writer and performer on the show Hee Haw and gained national fame during most of its run, starting in 1969.
He would perform on a lot of the comedy bits on the show, along with singing partner Gordie Tapp on the ever popular PFFT YOU WERE GONE! and in Archie’s Barber Shop where he performed the funny That’s Bad/That’s Good routine.
