A new partnership between the Thunder Bay Airport Authority and the city of Thunder Bay is bringing the first-ever drone light show to the community.
The show will take place during Thunder Bay’s Live on the Waterfront Summer Send-Off event at Marina Park on August 27 and 28.
“We are beyond excited to partner with the City of Thunder Bay to bring these incredible events to our community,” said President & CEO of the local airport authority, Graham Ingham. “As we continue to support growth and innovation in Thunder Bay, these drone shows are a fantastic way to celebrate our city, our people, and the limitless possibilities of modern technology.”
The show is an environmentally friendly display that will feature a fleet of synchronized drones.
“Thank you to the Thunder Bay Airport Authority for being a fantastic partner and helping us bring this amazing opportunity to our community,” said Mayor Ken Boshcoff. “I encourage everyone to attend what’s sure to be the highlight of the summer.”
Live on the Waterfront is a longstanding summer event in Thunder Bay, that includes regular concerts through the summer.
