The Regina Pats U18 AAA hockey team will represent the Western region at the Telus National championships later this month in Chilliwack, BC.
The Pats scored early and often in a 7-1 victory over the Winnipeg Wild Sunday afternoon in the final.
Maddox Schultz scored twice in the first three minutes of the game and recorded a natural hat trick with his third goal in the second period.
The Pats surrendered only two goals in the four games they played in the Western Regionals in Kenora, both were to the Wild.
The team from Regina finished the round robin with a perfect 3-0 record.
The Thunder Bay Kings and the Kenora Thistles U18 AAA teams also competed in the four-day championship and finished the round robin with 1-2 records.
The Telus National championships run from April 21st to 27th in the Fraser Valley.
