Three people are facing charges following a drug trafficking investigation in Thunder Bay.
In January the OPP-led Provincial Guns and Gangs Enforcement Team started the investigation.
On March 5, investigations searched homes on Balmoral Street and Cumberland Street North.
During the searches the following items were seized:
- Approximately 90 grams of suspected crack cocaine
- $5,100 in cash
- Nine cell phones
- Smart watch
- Fraudulent identification
- Four digital scales
- Packaging material
As a result a 32-year-old, and 31-year-old from the Ottawa area are facing the following charges:
- Possession of an identity document (three counts)
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine)
Both of the accused remain in custody with future court dates.
A 33-year-old from Lasalle, Quebec is facing the following charges:
- Possession of an identity document (three counts)
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine)
The accused was released from custody with a future court date.
