Curling Canada has announced that the opening weekend of the Scotties Tournament of Hearts features some new gender equity initiatives.
A Women in Curling Connect Conference is being held on Sunday at the Valhalla Hotel and Conference Centre.
The conference offers an opportunity for networking and mentorship while celebrating the achievements and aspirations of women in curling.
The Woman in Curling Executive Council is also hosting Project Confidence as part of their Coaches Rock initiative on Saturday.
The free event is for females only.
The project was made to create a safe and welcoming environment for female coaches who want to brush up on their coaching knowledge and skills.
