A 41-year-old man is facing 33 charges following an investigation in Thunder Bay.
Officers were sent to a home on Tuesday after receiving reports of ongoing violence.
No suspect was there, but the Provincial Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Squad arrested the suspect that same day outside of city police’s jurisdiction.
Through investigation, city police searched a residence in the community and seized two guns.
As a result, the accused is facing the following charges:
- Assault with a weapon (five counts)
- Assault causing bodily harm
- Uttering threats (three counts)
- Using a firearm in the commission of an offence (five counts)
- Careless use of a firearm (five counts)
- Pointing a firearm (five counts)
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose (five counts)
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm (two counts)
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm (two counts)
The identity of the accused was not released by police to protect the identity of the victims.
The accused appeared in court this week and they remain in custody with a future court date.
