A Thunder Bay resident is in custody following a theft investigation by city police.
On Saturday officers were sent to a business on Memorial Avenue around 2:30 a.m.
When they arrived they found a broken window, but no suspect.
Officers were able to get security footage of the incident, to get a description of the suspect.
Roughly 45 minutes later, officers located a suspect on Cumberland Street South.
The suspect ran when officers approached them, but they were arrested following a brief chase.
As a result, a 30-year-old from Thunder Bay is facing the following charges:
- Break and enter
- Theft under $5,000
- Resisting arrest
- Obstruct police
The accused remains in custody with a future court date.
