A surprise out of city council.
At Monday night’s meeting, it was announced that residents are getting a break on parking this holiday.
City Manager John Collin said that the city plans on offering free parking starting on December 16.
He did not provide any details on whether this will be city-wide or if there will be exceptions.
More information is expected in the near future.
The announcement was made while council was in the process of discussing changes to Thunder Bay’s parking enforcement hours.
