A person who ended up in the Kaministiquia River has been retrieved by Thunder Bay Fire Rescue.
Crews were sent to the James Street Bridge around 2:25 p.m. on Monday after receiving reports that someone may have jumped from the bridge.
When fire rescue got on the scene they deployed a rescue watercraft and found the person on a wooden structure in the river.
The individual was brought into the boat and transported to the Mountdale Boat Launch where emergency medical services were waiting to provide further assessment.
