With fall just around the corner, the city plans on closing its outdoor pools, beaches, and splash pads.
Sandy Beach at Chippewa Park and the Main Beach at Boulevard Lake are closing for the season on Saturday.
Widnall and Heath pools are being closed on Sunday.
The Franklin Street Park and North End Park splash pads will close on Monday followed by the splash pads at Country Park and Northwood Playfield on September 15.
Indoor pools will close on Monday and begin fall hours on Tuesday except for Volunteer Pool, which closed unexpectedly this Thursday and is expected to open on Wednesday.
City staff will perform maintenance on these amenities in the off-season to prepare them for next year.
