Country on the Bay had its biggest turn out yet.
The music festival featured artists Blake Shelton, Joss Ross, Trace Adkins, High Valley, Mackenzie Porter, Dallas Smith, and more.
Shelton even brought his partner, Gwen Stefani, for a special performance.
Thousands of people attended the three-day event at Fort William Historical Park, estimated to be over 7,000 people per day.
Mayor Ken Boshcoff says the turnout was impeccable and the musicians loved performing in Thunder Bay.
“This has to be one of the best Country on the Bays that we’ve had,” said Boshcoff. “Everybody was having the weekend of their life.”
Boshcoff adds there was great music, concessions, parking and staff.
People flew in from across the country and the U.S. to attend, bringing in revenue for the city.
“I think competition in the industry is fierce,” said Boshcoff. “As a big music fan myself, it seems that the music gets better every year, and the musicians get more and more polished.”
The event had its largest attendance in the last three years and is expected to return next year.
