Ontario Northland’s ‘Stuff a Bus’ campaign accumulated a large amount of food for the city.
Over 9,300 pounds of food and over $300 in cash were donated to the Thunder Bay Food Bank.
On Saturday, an Ontario Northland bus parked outside of the Real Canadian Superstore and the community generously filled it.
Member of the food bank, Dawn Bubar, said in a release that seeing the bus filled with food was incredibly heartening.
“These donations will enable us to support over 150 households who rely on our services,” Bubar said.
The food bank serves around 135 households every day they are open, so these donations will make a significant impact for those in need.
