City trails are being connected by pedestrian bridges to create more convenience across the city.
Construction is currently being done behind River Terrace to connect two trails, and at George Burke Park, in hopes for an easier route to school for kids in the area.
The bridges are being built with leftover materials that were salvaged from work done on the Edward Street bridge.
A budget $1 million for this project is being shared with construction at Marina Park.
The bridges will be completed early in the fall.
This is in efforts to create more convenient connections for pedestrians.
