The trailer for the new Beetlejuice Movie was released over the weekend and it did the trick for me… I’m excited. The original came out in 1988 and I remember renting the VHS and watching it with my Dad. We were both huge Michael Keaton fans and that’s all we really knew about the film before we watched it. Pops didn’t get it but I thought it was incredible and it blew my 11 year old mind. It was so dark and weird but also extremely original and funny. Well now 36 years later they are bringing back the party demon whose name you can not say three times in a row. There are some sequels that just seem like Hollywood run out of ideas and you don’t care anymore but then there are other movies where you loved the characters so much and are curious what happened to them. I’ll be watching this one September 6th for sure…. well maybe I’ll wait until it’s free on a streaming service I already get but I’ll watch it for sure.
