Three people have been arrested following a drug bust in Webequie First Nation.
Members of the Nishnawbe Aski Police Services Intelligence and Emergency Response Team raided the home Saturday morning, the result of obtaining a warrant to search the home as part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking from the home.
There officers discovered and seized undisclosed amounts of cocaine and cash.
Two women 30-and 33-years old have been charged with:
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
- Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
Meanwhile at 27-year-old man faces a charge of:
- Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
All three accused are from the community and have been released on conditions along with a future court date.
