First responders are on the scene of a single vehicle collision located near the Lac Des Iles Mine on Highway 527.
In a post to social media by Shuniah Fire and Emergency Services were contacted around 4:00 a.m. Wednesday to the collision 93 km north of Highway 11/17, where mine rescue and EMS on scene requested assistance for extrication.
In an update fire crews arrived at 5:40 a.m. and began the extrication, with a specific location of the collision on Mine Road, at this time Highway 527 remains open.
A later update at 8:30 a.m. SFES confirmed a patient had been extricated and had cleared the scene.
