City police have arrested two people following an investigation into what they are calling a serious case of elder abuse in Thunder Bay.
The abuse is alleged to have occurred over a one year period from February of 2022 until April of this year, when the investigation began by the Crimes Against Seniors Investigator.
A 45 year old man and a 41 year old woman each face the charges of:
– Failure to Provide the Necessaries of Life
– Forcible Confinement
– Criminal Breach of Trust
– Theft by Person Holding Power of Attorney
– Assault
– Fraud Over $5000
Both have since been released with a future court date.
