A 26 year old Thunder Bay man has been released on conditions following an incident at Intercity Mall this weekend.
Police were called to the mall before 5:20 p.m. Saturday afternoon to reports of a man wielding a kitchen knife.
Upon arrival officers confronted the man, demanding he drop the knife, before taking him into custody.
While in custody the accused provided a fake name to officers, before he was positively identified.
He faces two charges in connection to the incident:
• Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
• Obstruct Peace Officer
He appeared in court Sunday and is expected to appear at a later date.
