CAA has launched their Worst Roads campaign, asking residents of Ontario (and Saskatchewan) to submit the worst roads they know of. Pictures of the offending roadway can be submitted, along with the cross street.
In 2022, it was a street in Hamilton that took the caved-out crown home for having the worst road in Ontario. However, in the Northern category which represents all of northern Ontario, only Thunder Bay’s Arthur Street West made the list.
One cannot forget the sound effects of driving on pothole-filled roads. It’s like a symphony of thuds, bumps, and rattles that would make any car sound system jealous. Who needs a subwoofer when you’ve got potholes to provide the bass?
But perhaps the best part about pothole-filled roads is the unexpected adventures they provide. Will you hit a pothole so hard that you spill your coffee all over your lap? Will you accidentally hit a pothole and find yourself airborne for a few seconds? The possibilities are endless.
