Looking to ditch your real Christmas tree now that the holiday is over?
The City of Thunder Bay has drop-off locations set up across the city for real trees to be disposed of properly.
Until Jan.12, nine locations across the city will be open for trees to be dropped off that will be chipped and added to the city’s compost pile at the landfill.
North drop-off locations:
- Brent Park (Balsam Street at Margaret Street)
- County Park Tennis Courts (County Boulevard)
- Grandview Arena (Westminster United Church parking lot off Madeline Street)
- John Jumbo Recreation Centre (Toivo Street)
- Strathcona Golf Course (500 Hodder Avenue)
South drop-off locations:
- Delaney Arena (Legion Track Drive)
- Kinsmen Northwood Centre (609 N James Street)
- Westfort Playing Field (Off Neebing Avenue)
- West Thunder Community Centre (915 S Edward Street)
Important: Don’t forget to remove all of your decorations, lights and accessories from the tree.
